Don't Underestimate the Value of Print Marketing

The Value of Print Marketing

It takes a village to market and develop a successful business.  Although an online presence is a necessity, don't forget to incorporate print marketing tools such as: signs, business cards, brochures, stickers, direct mail, letters and envelopes.  These messages allow you to reach out and touch your target audience, and help raise a thriving business from infancy to maturity.

Why is Print Marketing Valuable?

1. Print marketing provides credibility.

How many banner ads and pop-ups do you see online? How many personalized emails do you get in your spam and inbox folders? You may find you delete many of these emails because you are afraid of getting a virus by clicking on embedded links. You can enhance your reputation and make your audience feel special by sending them a quality print message that stands out from the crowd of online messages people see every day. Print messages are more engaging and usually have a longer attention span than online messages. Most website visitors are gone in 10-20 seconds!

2. Print marketing is tangible.

Your audience is easily and constantly distracted by the vast amount of online information available, so your message may be lost in the crowd. Print marketing provides a stronger connection to your target audience because there is less competition. You can send your print message by mail or deliver it in person. Even print publications are less crowded today, allowing more space to advertise and cheaper pricing.

While emails are easily deleted (sometimes before being opened), print messages are often held, felt and touched for a much longer period of time.

3. Print marketing increases your reach.

You can reach different groups of people in your target market through different channels. Some people are "new school" and use digital media like ebooks, smartphones, tablets and laptops. Others are "old school" and prefer traditional print materials such as magazines, books, newspapers and direct mail pieces.

4. Print marketing enhances online marketing.

Your company's marketing strategy will be most effective by utilizing multiple channels to reach your target audience. You will get the best results by combining print marketing with online marketing. By using these resources, you'll be able to reach everyone in your target market. Print marketing enhances online marketing by giving your brand a stronger presence. It also helps drive more traffic to your website, blog and social media pages.
